Shaydon had a friend that he went to preschool last year with and they had this batman shield and mask. he played with it enough that they gave it to us because they never used it. Since that time he has said he wanted to be batman. It wasn't until we were on the plane to California and i thought of the idea to have Slater be Robin per Shaydon's coloring book. we had our trunk or treat on Friday night with chili and cornbread, a cookie walk and of course trunk or treating. Then on Monday we stayed home and went through our neighborhood. We aren't a very big subdivision and we don't get many trick or treaters so everyone gives you a handful of candy!! Or it seem popular to just leave you bucket of candy on the door step with a sign that says take 2 even when you are home :( We made it home to still pass out some candy and Shaydon like that too!! What a fun night, fun was had by all, missed you papa! Through the last week my dad called Shaydon and teased him that he was "the mayor of New York city and he need his help to fight the bad guy" Shaydon LOVED it and Nana called to say "Batman to the Rescue"

My aunt dawn was diagnosed with breast cancer and is in treatment. They held a zumba fundraiser night to help raise money for her and another child who is battling cancer!! so many people donated and talked about there struggle and will power to win against cancer.

There were lots of people and my dad was there to hand out water to the participants.

It was a fun morning. it started off with the hay bail maze station, tractor tire and hay bail tower, learning about pumpkins, hay bail rides, picked a pumpkin, petting zoo and finished with the corn box...that's a fun morning. we had popcorn and capri suns for a snack and a goodie bag too!!

BLM Fire Helicopter

It was the last (rainy) day the helicopter was on contract with the BLM so we went to see it, finally! Baring the bad weather. I have promised and wanted to show shaydon for months now and it finally worked out. We tried 2 other times and the helicopter went out on a fire as we were pulling in so we left our cookies and said we will try again. So yeah for the end of the season so we could see it. Shaydon was so excited. The pilot Bonnie showed us around, let us climb in, gave us a tour around the helicopter and she even took pix for us!! It was a quick trip with the rain but work it. Shaydon now wants to be a helicopter firefighter. He seems so interested in everything i love it!! They even gave the boys a BLM helicopter patch!

We will be sewing it on his bag shaydon explained all the way home.

tyson was telling ghost/scary stories from is phone. technology these days. he had all 7 boys attention. ya you herd me right SEVEN! It was GREAT! Shaydon remembers part of the stories and re tells them. especially the one about the "harry toe" and "gotcha where i want you now i am going to eat you"

it was such a fun weekend i wish i could of participated more. I got sick and just slept most of the days away. so sorry girls thanks for helping/entertain with the boys!! Thanks to my brother juston for letting us use the cabin. It was perfect and so much room. Your the best! We watched conference and used some packets to help keep the boys interested, ate, learned about curling, watched movies and football, sat in the hot tub, crafted, played on the computer, napped, went exploring and did a scavenger hunt, sat in the hot tub, played hid and seek, relaxed, snacked, watched conference, blew out the sprinklers, cleaned and drove home with a Dr. Pepper in hand! Thanks scott and all the family's for such a fun weekend!! It was perfect - the flu!

See his orange camo wrap!! We just got done seeing a GI specialist. So our new regiment is mirlax everyday for a month (1/2 cap) and pedisure 2X day as a snack for a month and see how it goes. He had his blood drawn and the nurse couldn't get it so we had to go to the hospital to get it done again. It's no secret that he doesn't poop and he is small. They think he might have ciliac (sp) decease allergic to gluten and a thyroid problem so we are having blood test done. They both came back negative so that is great and he gained 2lbs in a month!! He's 20 pounds at 16 months. They think because he was holding his poop cause it hurt to come out that he in turn doesn't eat cause he knows it have to come out. I don't think he understands that at 16 months, but that is what the doc say's. So we need to train his body that it doesn't hurt to poop so he will go all the time. so now for pooping it's either not going or it a blow out! So we play with the mirlax to get the right dose! So the pedisure is flavored milk it has 250 calories in an 8oz glass. it makes whole milk look like water!! He drinks it best out of a bottle so i can only assume what people are thinking when they see him at 17 months drinking out of a bottle chocolate, banana, strawberry, berry, vanilla milk!! Oh well!! Lets see what another month brings.

so this was the 1st game/practice. they do 4 stations and different drills at each station. it's one hour long. after the 1st station shaydon says when are we going to play our game. by the 3rd station he said i am Bord. finally the 4th station they got to scrimmage each other. there are only 9 players on the team so they do 3 on 3. defiantly his favorite station.

It was a fun Friday Night Family Night!! It was hard for Shaydon to understand why boise state was not playing on there field, but we tried to explain many times!! We didn't know when we decided to attend this game, but it was there homecoming game. One of our YW from the ward was up for homecoming queen and WON! It was very exciting. Also our neighbor was there as the band conductor/drum major i don't know the title, but it was fun to see her up leading the band. Our babysitter also plays in the band and shaydon kept saying which one is she? It was hard to tell them apart, but we tried. Go Shayla!! We lasted till the 4th quarter but slater was done and didn't want anything else to do with it!!
